Snake was running late, very late. Between the trip out to the new house with Xena and talking to Rayanne he was all but late to his own reception. He was still wishing he could've stayed out at the house.

The Firebird was a beautiful restaurant on the 30th floor overlooking the city. It was the first place he had taken Xena and the owner Antonio was a good friend. Waiting in the elevator Snake was impatient trying to imagine how Iris had decorated the place. He hadn't had time to stop by and see it yet.

He got off the elevator and immediately ran into Antonio who was full of all the happy Italian greetings brought on by thier cultural view of weddings and just a bit of wine. Smiling Snake greeted his friend before heading off to find Xena. He wanted to get this dance over with so he could have a drink.

Note to Muns: If you have a muse who is friends with Snake or Xena and I have missed them on the list please post here. I am sure I have missed some and this list will probably expand. List is alphabetized more or less by user name. Muses/couples living together are listed together in most cases.

Antonio had done most of the work to decorate the Restaurant. The Firebird Restaurant is decorated in a beautiful Italian Baroque style complete with a full ballroom. Its location on the 34th floor overlooking Central Park made it a perfect location for a huge party. The theme of course was Snakes and Bats appropriate for Halloween.

More booze had been brought up to the storage room then an army could drink as well as the appetizers that Antonio’s chefs had been working on for the party. They were not out yet but it was only a matter of time before they would appear with huge trays for the banquet table.

The Ballroom had been set up for a DJ who would provide most of the music as well as Karaoke for the night; that was unless Xena convinced him to get up there. Just in case, Snake had Hershe bring their equipment up and have it set up behind the DJ’s booth. Who knows, maybe Snake would get up there. It had been almost two years since the “Cobra’s Den” had played together.

He looked over the two rooms (one with the banquet tables and one for socializing), the balcony and the Ballroom. He tried to look interested as Antonio told him what could be improved. Snake didn’t know a damned thing about throwing a party and so he just nodded. Antonio flamboyantly declared everything was ready almost an hour before the party was to start.

Snake got a drink and sat at one of the tables. He looked in the mirror across the room. He felt weird as he looked at his reflection. It had been years since he had worn his Special Forces uniform and he was more then uncomfortable seeing it and his eye patch at the same time. Hershe soon joined him and he rolled his eye. Carjack had always been a good friend but he made the most fucking annoying woman Snake had ever met. He found himself half listening to Hershe and inwardly praying for anyone to show up so he could get away from her.
