If you’re talking the white things that float around and make noises in your house, fuck no. You just mean the dead haunting you then fuck yeah. The dead got a way of haunting you. The hell if I know whether it’s self induced or the people coming back. Don’t fucking matter. Still got the same effect. Got guilt for the people you did kill, the people other assholes killed, for this bullshit and that. Got a whole fucking closet of people haunting my ass.

Not too many are the people I’ve killed. Suppose there’s one kid that counts but I don’t talk much ‘bout him. Most of them though are people I couldn’t or didn’t save because I was too worried for my own skin. Yeah, some people call it survival. I call it bullshit and it’s not happening again. I’ve got enough blood on my hands from being too late or not acting on a friend’s behalf. I got enough ghosts and I sure the fuck don’t want to go out making more. Better off dead then having a head full of shit haunting your ass until you do die.

The worst’s got to be the people I watched die. Sophia, Fresno Bob, Taylor, Captain Hill, Maggie, even that crazy fucking cab driver in New York, they get to me. So much I could’ve done and didn’t. Guess this is payback, divine retribution for being a damned fool. My parents aren’t as bad because I was in the hospital when the fucking government offed them. Don’t make it much better. Still know they were burned alive because I was too stubborn to die when people wanted me to. Nice cost for survival against the odds.

The people who haunt your ass are always the ones you imagine being in your life now and you can’t have. Of late, it’s been Taylor. I remember this conversation, Hell we were maybe 20, and he got to joking about how he’d be Uncle Taylor to my kids because we were like brothers. That the kids’d be no wiser because my mom treated him like her son. The fuck if that doesn’t haunt me day and night now I got kids. Never be an Uncle Taylor now thanks to those cocksuckers on the force.

So, yeah, my house is haunted. Only bitch is I’m the only one can see the ghosts.
