Snake had been on the sly for this and stashed stacks of pre-made snowballs around the yard long before anyone else in the house was awake. Sure others could find them and that only made it all the more fun. Snake came back inside and got a drink while he waited for the rest of his family and any visitors that may have accepted his invitation.

He hadn’t been in a snowball fight since the first morning his squadron spent at the Helsinki base. That was almost twelve years and it seemed like even longer to Plissken. This one was much the same. It started with a challenge of his claims of Snowball King. Snake frowned at the drink. He hadn’t even thrown a snowball since he lost his eye.

Pushing the thoughts away he set the things for cocoa, tea and coffee out on the dining room table. He wasn’t sure how many people would come. It might just be him, his family and the nameless challenger he planned on blasting as soon as she set foot on the property. It didn’t matter to Snake. He was out to have fun with the kids, especially his little girl.

Finishing up in the kitchen he went to the living room to start the fire. The huge living room fireplace was one of the things that made him fall in love with this house. Once it was going he sat back on the couch waiting for his family to come down. He could hear all the feet upstairs and giggles. It was a sound that relaxed his usual tensed demeanor. He glanced out toward the drive. No cars yet. Content, Snake laid back on the couch to soak up the warmth from the fire and the alcohol.

OOC: This can be meta, bendy time or any other form of time frame. If it is taking place before or after something your muse and Snake is/will be involved in please make me aware so the muse reacts accordingly. Have fun! I promise Snake will not start shooting so go get him, now’s your chance. For Snake this is taking place just after the New Year so it is a bit back dated. You can assume all conversations that have been started took place before this event just to make it easier. Oh and despite the title this is taking place at Snake's ranch house outside of New York City.

In the very moment Snake turned away from her and headed towards the porch, Kiddo spring to her feet and bounded forward. She reached the bushes by three leaps and lied down flat at the safe side of her new hiding place.

Snake made it to the porch sulking along the bushes that surrounded the front. He couldn't see Kiddo even though he now had a clear view of the car on both sides. Snake suddenly had an idea and ventured around to the far side of the house.

Kiddo did not see Snake, nevertheless she could hear his retreating footsteps. She frowned. Snake was remarkable opponent and also had the advantage of home turf. Kiddo was not the one to surrender though. Snake might try to outflank her but he was mistaken thinking she let him do so. Quickly and silently she rolled two snowballs and turned to the opposite direction where she heard Snake footsteeps. Her plan was going around the house and spring a surprise on Snake.

Snake had no intention of going all the way around. Instead, as quietly as possible, he pulled himself up on to the porch roof and made his way up toward the house roof. He paused squatting down low to roll a few snowballs and survey the area. he didn't see her anywhere and that made him suspicious.

Kiddo pressed herself against the wall as she sneaked around the house. Of course, she has no idea Snake was on the roof. She almost reached her starting point and got more and more confused not knowing where Snake disappeared when she caught a glace on fresh footsteps in the snow... and the point when they vanished. Fuck! She thought to herself realizing Snake must be on the roof. She stopped and watched the shadow of the building fell on the snow...

Snake had heard the snow crunch once near the corner of the house and then silence after that. He had laid out prone on the roof, slowly and quietly making a stash of snowballs. It wouldn't be long before she started looking for a way to get to him and he wanted to be ready. Laying the last of his snowballs aside he strained to hear anything down below or God forbid on the other side of the roof.

Nothing has moved. Kiddo realized Snake knew much better than revealing his position. And the longer she waits the more ready Snake could be.
So she fling up a snowball onto the roof, slantwise as diversion and also spring into action somersaulting onto the roof snowball in her hand ready to throw.

Snake saw the snowball coming up almost on top of him and tensed. Dealing with all of Xena's acrobatics he knew what was coming. He grabbed a snowball in each hand and threw them as soon as he caught sight of her.

Kiddo dodged the first ball and threw her own' at Snake. She kept moving leaping towards the chimney when Snake's second snowball hit him full force. It did not hurt much still the hit made her groan. "Ohh..."

Snake took the snowball almost in the face. Grinning the threw another before heading for the edge of the roof. Snake was certain to step on the rest of the snowballs he'd made. Snake still had one snowball in hand when he got to the edge of the roof. Fully intending on leading Kiddo on a wild goose chase.

Snake's snowball hit her right in the face. Gasping and sneezing, Kiddo wiped some melted snow off her face and flung herself after Snake.

OOC: Excuses see above. :) Feel free to continue this thread or just drop as you decide.

Snake laughed hearing her coming and ran as fast as he could. It was fun just to have her chase him around. It reminded him of being a kid.

OOC: I'm fine with continuing.
