there is something very gentle about the way Snake is speaking to her. It is very differant then what she has seen in the past. Snake had silenced his other half, sent it to sleep for a time.

Everything comes with a price for us it is the urge to kill, for a vampire it is the need for blood I am sure even mages have paid for the power they are given.

Why do you kill? Is it necessary to kill to survive?

Then why are you not out playing? There are places in this city that cater to the non-human, for lack of better words. I am sure that you would be welcome to play or sing there.

She hides her face in his chest, her fingers curling around his shirt and she begins to sob, everything has stopped the moment her father had died. Her mother had changed, became colder to everone apart from her daughter, happiness had been sucked from their lives.

Normal is a relative term. He smiles. For someone who has been through a supernatural change you are normal. We all have to deal with the new part. We all fight with it, fear it, are angered by it and eventually we all have to come to terms with it.

Do you think it is differant for someone who wakes up a vampire or a mage? Do you think they were suddenly ok with all of the changes in their life?

Snake sighs. Maybe? But perhaps there is a reason you were not. What if you were to become a wolf as part of destiny? There is no way of knowing what is yet left to do. What if there were to be a moment when your mother was confronted by something her magic could not stop but you could?

He turns her face up to his.

All I am saying is you have been given a gift that you have yet to find out why and perhaps you haven't accepted it. That does not make it any less of a gift nor does the fact that you have a differant gift make it less worthy.
