Flying lessons (Jekyll/Rose and family?)

Snake woke still curled around the bottle on the pilot's seat. He was cramped and cranky. He missed his bed and sighed wondering where the hell he was. For a moment he thought he was back in the war. Luckily that cleared before he opened his eye. There was no telling what time of day it was. Snake didn't care as he shifted around to get comfortable. He still wasn't much in the mood for company but he was going to have to be.

Reluctantly he sat up in the seat blinking at his reflection and mussed hair. He looked like shit and felt almost as bad. Rubbing his eye he slid the hatch back and listened. It was still quiet and Snake leaned the seat back intent on a few more minutes of sleep. He'd come out when he were ready.

Snake tilted the nose up and the glider started bucking violently. It was much worse then take off. It lasted a few minutes and then it was eerily calm. Snake grinned and there was a unusual amount of happiness in his voice.

Go ahead and look out now. (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y158/adira_tyree/Trip%20Photos%20and%20friends/From%20the%20plane/P1000113.jpg)

My hands gripped tightly as it began to shake violently and my stomach began to lurch again just as violently. I shut my eyes and attempted not to feel anything until it was over.

Then suddenly as it started it stopped and there was nothing apart from the roar of the engines. With shaking hands I undid my belt, shuffling myself ever so slowly across to the side of the plane, willing my stomach to calm.

My eyes widened as I looked out; "It's beautiful..." I said quietly, not really able to form the words to explain how I felt, what I saw.

Snake flipped off the jetpack and everything was silent except for them breathing.

Why I love it up here. No noise, no one to fuck with you. Snake took a deep breath. He was visibly calmer then Henry had ever seen him.

Once I find a good current you going to get up here and fly for awhile?

*smiles, understanding why Snake felt so at ease up here, it was calm, so peaceful*

I-I don't know... I'd probably end up crashing or something *laughs nervously*

You'd have to be trying real hard to crash it. Snake shrugged. Besides I used to use free-fall tactics in the war. You know look like you're crashing then blow the shit out of the enemy because they aren't paying attention. I could pull us out of it.

Snake smiled. You might find this helps you better half calm down too. The "better half" part had a bit of sarcasm to it.
