Snake got into the hummer waiting for Evie. He had the perfect place, the Firebird. It was owned by a friend and it would be private wich Snake was going to need if she wanted the truth.

Snake shook his head. I more or less told her that and she made some comment about despising me.

Snake looked over at Evie and smiled. No because I trust you enough to keep this where it belongs.

No need to be sorry baby. Sometimes I feel like saying the same thing but don't. I can't because I believe she's got the right to her opinions even if i think they're bullshit. Snake started playing with his wedding band. I don't break vows to anyone, especially not her.

"Um, I'm gonna tell Mason tonight..and if all goes well..I was wondering if you'd like to go house hunting and maybe...nursery shopping. If you don't it's cool. Just figured I'd ask.."

Even if it don't go well I expect to see you. Snake put his arm around her and gave her a bit of a hug. Whenever you want to go. Though I warn you we better take the Hummer. I got it in my mind to spendsome money.

She laughed and then shook her head.

"With you papi? Who knows. No one can truely know what anothers capable of."

She grinned and then tilted her head.

"Spending a lot of money? What are you gonna buy me the whole damn baby place I plan on going to?"

THe food came, she eyed it and without a minute more of hesitation she started grubbing into it.

"Well first I need to find a decently priced house. I mean, it don't gotta be fancy, but it's gotta be decent..."

Snake smiled feeling a lot better. He ate slowly because he wasn't all that hungry.

Decently priced? Seen some nice ones in Brooklyn, 240 so thousand.

She almost choked but didn't.

"Maybe..less then that...money doesn't grow on trees...."

She laughed and then slowed down. It was the initial thing of food being put in front of her. And she gave a lopsided grin.

She laughed and then covered her mouth and then looked around. Christ she must seem like such a kid. She grinned then looking over at him.

"Good, cause well, Mason, knowing him, will want to do the right thing. And I think the way he was brought up that if you knock up a girl, you get hitched. So who knows "

She shrugged.

Snake dug in his coat pcoket and pulled out a stack of hundreds still in the bank wrapper. Snake put them in front of Evie and grinned.

Appears money grows in my pocket, so I don't worry too much.

She gave a shrug of her shoulders.

"and the nerve he had? He wouldn't even let me keep the damn ring. I mean how...stupid is that? He bought it for ME I should have been able to keep it. Pfft. "

She looked at the money and blinked picking it up.

I'd say the same for you. The nerve of wanting to keep something you don't believe in just because it looks nice. Snake was serious but slowly he smiled.

Antonio, here, who owns this place is mob. Though you could always get a meal or a safe place to stay here now that they've seen you with me. Me, I just borrow money from the bank.

She snickered then and took a bite of her garlic bread.

"Who knows. if he asks maybe I'll just say yes. I mean I kinda wanted to, but then I kinda stopped and No came out of my mouth instead."
