Snake groaned from the pain.

Not a fucking thing. Snake was almost fully awake.

I was just... Snake caught sight of the needle in Xena's hand and fell silent. He was instantly moving away from her as quickly as he could. He was obviously panicked. Get that fucking thing away from me.

His words were choked by pain but the determination was there.
