A snowball came over the porch barely making it past the bushes surrounding it. It was followed by pattering on the porch stairs before the little girl appeared running straight for Chase. She fell in the snow and giggled as she got back up. She was small, only three years old with blondish curls sticking out from under her stocking cap. She stopped a good distance from him, picked up a handful of unpacked snow and threw it.
